The Presentation Ceremony of the Prof. Taburam Taid Memorial Literary Awards, 2026 was successfully organised by the Taburam Taid Memorial Trust on 1 August 2026 at KBR Hall, Cotton University, Panbazar, Guwahati, Assam.
The ceremony commemorated the 84th Birth Anniversary of the late Prof. Taburam Taid, an eminent educationist, distinguished administrator, renowned linguist, and a pioneering champion of the Mising language and culture.
During the ceremony, the Prof. Taburam Taid Memorial Literary Awards, 2026 were presented to distinguished writers, authors, and translators in recognition of their outstanding contributions to literature, language, tribal culture, and translation.
The event brought together literary personalities, scholars, members of the academic community, invited guests, and admirers of Prof. Taburam Taid to celebrate his enduring legacy and to honour excellence in literature and cultural preservation.
